Our Mission
At Trinity we believe in following Jesus and His command to, Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them everything I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:19-20) Our slogan, Winning, Discipling, Serving... sums up TUCCs mission. It is our vision and mission tied up in one phrase. Every ministry at TUCC must commit their work to prayer. To WIN people to Jesus Christ, DISCIPLE them in God's plan for their lives and Go SERVE people in Jesus' Name Winning He who wins souls is wise (Prov. 11:30). Our first love is to develop a passion for winning souls to Christ. Winning souls involves TUCC living the Great Commission given to us by Jesus. Discipling Jesus three-year ministry was concentrated on making disciples for the Kingdom of God. The emphasis is on entering the Kingdom of God. It is our intention at TUCC to make disciples so that all who commit to be disciples will truly deny him/herself, take up his/her cross and truly follow Jesus Christ. Serving The goal of discipleship is servanthood. Jesus stood up in the synagogue and read from the Isaiah scroll: The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lords favor (Luke 4:18-19). This is the mark of a servant: to preach, teach, heal in the name of Jesus Christ. True discipleship must shown in a life committed to service. This servanthood must reach far beyond the confines of our church building, to ones family, job, and the whole of society. Service causes us to reach beyond our inner circle. Service is discipleship, living out with the message of the cross. Our entire life becomes our worship and service to God. Winning, discipling, and serving: This clear slogan captures the essence of TUCC. The growth seen in the life of a disciple will be demonstrated in these three words. Transformed lives are the vision of our love Lord has given to us. |
