Salvation
Salvation is Good News

The 4 Spiritual Laws

1. God loves you
2. Sin separates you from God
3. Jesus died for your sins
4. You can be saved by confessing Jesus is Lord

Romans  10:9 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Pray this Prayer

Heavenly Father, I believe you love me. I believe Jesus died for me and
rose from the dead. Today, I confess Jesus as my Lord and receive the
forgiveness of all my sins. Holy Spirit, come into my life. Thank You for
saving me, in Jesus' name. -- Amen

If you prayed this prayer, let us know. Hearing about your salvation would bless us. In addition, we would like to send you a free mini-book to help you learn more about being a Christian.

Want to know more? We've gathered some common questions about salvation and have provided the answers from God's Word, the Bible. Read below to learn more about Salvation.

What is Salvation?

To understand salvation, you first need to understand the four spiritual
laws:

1.) God loves you.
2.) Sin separates you from God.
3.) Jesus died for your sins. and
4.) You can be saved by confessing Jesus is Lord.

God loves you so very much (rule #1), but the sin that is in your life
separates you from Him (rule #2). So, God sent His Son, Jesus, to take
your sins from you (rule #3). Now, all you have to do is accept the gift
by allowing Jesus to have absolute control in your life (rule #4).
Salvation is what happens when you accept Jesus as your master. Your sins are separated from you and you are no longer separated from God.

(John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Romans 3:23)

John 3:16 For God so loved the world [rule # 1] that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him [rule #4] should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
[rule #2]

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also
received, how that Christ died for our sins [rule #3] according to the
scriptures;

Acts 16:31 So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will
be saved [rule #4], you and your household."

What is Sin?

Sin is not listening to God. God has told us clearly through the Bible
what He wants us to do and what He expects us to keep from doing. Sin can be as sickening as rape or murder or as simple as forgetting to be kind to others. No matter how small it is, sin gets between us and God. If we cannot be with God, we cannot be in Heaven.

(Matt. 5:48, Matt. 18:3, Mark 9:43-48, Romans 6:23, Rev. 21:27, 2 Tim.
3:16-17, Luke 18:20, Matt. 22:37-39)

Matthew 5:48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 18:3 and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven."

Mark 9:43-48 43If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better
for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched-- 44where "Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched." 45And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched--46where "Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched."
47And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to
enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire-- 48where "Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched."

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Revelation 21:27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that
defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

2 Tim. 3:16-17 16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness, 17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Luke 18:20 You know the commandments: "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not bear false witness," "Honor your father and your mother."

Matthew 22:37-39 37Jesus said to him, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

What Can I Do To Be Saved?

The Good News is that Jesus' death was payment for our sin, but not only that. His return to life from the dead and the new life He creates in us is the hope that we too can be with Him in Heaven. How do you get that for yourself? Thankfully, it is simple. Romans 10:9 tells us you must say, "Jesus is Lord" and you must believe that God raised Him from the dead. What does it mean to say Jesus is Lord? You are no longer the master of your own destiny. Instead, you have chosen to go where Jesus leads. Jesus paid for you with His life. Now your life, from the moment you wake in the morning until you go to sleep at night, is His. It is simple, but not easy. When you don't do what Jesus says, ask Him to forgive you. Then ask Him to help you do better the next time.

Pray this prayer:
"Heavenly Father, I believe you love me. I believe Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Today, I confess Jesus as my Lord and receive the forgiveness of all my sins. Holy Spirit, come into my life. Thank You
for saving me, in Jesus' name. -- Amen"

If you've prayed this prayer, we would like to send you a mini-book that
will help you to grow as a Christian. Tell us about your decision for
Christ.

(Romans 10:9, 1 John 3:5-6, 1 John 3:9, 1 John 1:9 )

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

1 John 3:5-6 5And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

What If I Have Trouble Believing?
Believing can be tough. You have to believe that God exists. You have to believe that He sent His Son. You have to believe He loves you and takes an interest in you. These can be some incredible things to accept, so ask Him for help. You may think "How can I ask If I don't believe in Him?" Ask Him anyway. Ask God to make Himself real to you, and He will. God wants a relationship with you, so He is ready to make Himself real to you.

(Rev. 3:20, Heb. 11:6)

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

What do I do now that I am saved?

1. There is too much to say, but let me point you in the right direction:
Read through the entire Bible and pray. There is a Bible reading plan
available free on our website that will take you through the Bible once a
year. If you don't have a copy of the Bible, you can visit
www.biblegateway.com. Reading the Bible is very important because if you don't know what to believe, you will believe people who do not know the truth or who want to take advantage of you. Prayer is talking to God. Thank Him for what you have and what He's done. Say what's on your heart. Ask Him if He wants you to go do something or change anything in your life. Then wait and listen.
2. Find a good church near you that believes that Jesus is the Son of God and all who believe will be saved. Go there regularly. If you live close to Lower Burrell Pennsylvania in the United States, we invite you to come to Trintiy United christian Church.
3. Make Chrisitan friends and spend time with them.
Tell others about Jesus and what He's done for you. You have received
God’s salvation for free. Give that same gift to anyone who will listen.
4. Tell your family and friends. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth
it. You are free to use this material if you want.
If you do those four things, you will be well on your way to following
where Jesus leads you.

(2 Tim. 2:16, Heb. 10:25, Prov. 11:30)

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who
wins souls is wise.
