Zacchaeus

Luke:  Zacchaeus, what’s a rich guy like you, a tax collector, doing in a tree?

Zacchaeus:  Well, one day Jesus came by and I couldn’t see him over the crowd of people, so I climbed up in this tree to hear him speak.

Luke:  What happened?

Zacchaeus:  It was the most amazing thing. He asked me to come down.  He wanted to come to my house.

Luke:  Come to your house?  You, a tax collector, a “sinner”?

Zacchaeus:  Yes, we had a meal together.  His presence in my house changed my life forever.  I told him that I will give half of my possessions to the poor and pay back 4 times anyone who I have cheated.

Luke:  Wow!  What did Jesus say to that?

Zacchaeus:  He said, “Salvation will come to my whole household.”

He said that “The Son of Man came to save those who are lost.”
